So now to the important question – you know dog vitamins can be useful, but how safe are they to actually use? With the exception of vitamins A and D, you needn’t be too worried about giving vitamins to your dog. Since these two vitamins are fat-soluble they can be dangerous if supplied in high amounts – so be extra careful if your dog already gets plenty of these vitamins from their diet, or ask your vet for advice if you are unsure. And of course, NEVER give your dog human multivitamins – these contain other ingredients that can actually be quite toxic to a dog.
